Osmio GAC-KDF-Remin Replacement Water Filter 2.5″ x 10″
The Osmio GAC-KDF-Remin Replacement Water Filter has an advanced and innovative 6-stage filtration process which reduces chlorine, heavy metals, bacteria, toxins and a vast array of undesirable ingredients in your tap water. This filter will fit virtually all standard 10″ housing units and makes a fine upgrade to your regular carbon block filters.
The filter combines the very best of filtration methods into one neat cartridge, there is nothing you can compare it to.
The filter uses silver impregnated granular activated carbon, then further granular activated carbon (GAC) mixed with active ceramic then finally, unlike the vast majority of alternatives, the patented KDF section which makes it completely bacteriostatic preventing growth of bacteria. KDF significantly extends the life of granular activated carbon component of this filter.
KDF has a unique combination of copper and zinc creates an electro-chemical reaction. During this reaction, electrons are transferred between molecules, and new elements are created. Some ingredients are changed into harmless components. Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride, which is then carried harmlessly through the water supply. Similarly, some heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and others, react to plate out onto the medium’s surface, thus being effectively removed from the water supply.
Apart from the excellent level of filtration the GAC-KDF Replacement Water Filter provides, the filter produces pH enhanced and re-mineralised water. Active Ceramic gently introduces minerals into the water making it more palatable and better for you and well as increasing the pH of the water making it more alkaline.
The cartridge will last for 18,925 litres or up to 2 years before needing to be replaced making it very economical & cost effective.

This is my second filter, I replace the original filter after a couple of years as recommended. I had no problem, it worked perfectly well, did not noticed any filtering degradation at all.
