Limescale Reduction Filters

Puriflow can supply a range of filters designed for the specific treatment of limescale (both temporary and permanent hardness). Hard water is water that has high mineral content formed by water percolating through deposits of calcium and magnesium-containing minerals such as limestone, chalk and dolomite.

Hard drinking water whilst generally not harmful to health can result in serious problems in industrial settings, where water hardness is monitored to avoid costly breakdowns in boilers, cooling towers, and other equipment that handles water. In domestic situations, hard water may make itself known through a lack of suds formation and by the depositing of limescale in kettles and water heaters etc. where it shortens the life of appliances and can increase energy consumption.
